The gridiron is proving no match for zombies.

For the second consecutive week, AMC’s drama “The Walking Dead” topped NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” among adults 18-49, the demographic preferred by advertisers.

Sunday’s “Walking Dead” episode — its fourth of Season Four — averaged 8.7 million viewers in the key demo at 9 p.m., according to preliminary Nielsen ratings

That beat the 8.1 million viewers 18-49 who tuned in for the Colts’ victory over the Texans.

Among total viewers, “Walking Dead” averaged 13.3 million viewers on Sunday, while ”SNF” drew 15.4 million.
