The Post’s football writers ranks the four quarterbacks of the NFL Championship games:
Mark Cannizzaro
Aaron Rodgers is unquestionably the hottest of the four, but Brady has been there and done it more than any of them, and he is coming off a 12-game regular season in which he threw 28 touchdowns and just two interceptions. If I have to choose one quarterback to win one game, I choose Brady all day. Though Matt Ryan hasn’t won a Super Bowl yet, he gets the nod over Ben Roethlisberger

Brady might be the greatest to ever play the position when he is done. He has four Super Bowl rings, might add a fifth this year and rarely makes mistakes. Rodgers is the most physically gifted, making throws no one else can. Roethlisberger has been more consistent over his career than Ryan, giving him the edge for the third spot.

Ring No. 5 next month firmly establishing Brady as the greatest of all time looks like a formality. Rodgers suddenly looks like the Rodgers of old, while Ryan’s MVP-worthy regular season increasingly looks like it was no fluke. Roethlisberger has thrown nine interceptions in just the past six games and is slowing down in a hurry.

Sticking Brady on top of any quarterback list is about as easy as it gets. The guy has thrown two interceptions this season. Two! That is stupid-good. Rodgers is the hottest of the four and certainly the most physically gifted but does not have Brady’s big-game pedigree. Ryan is this season’s MVP. Big Ben is terrific, too, but not always so terrific in big spots on the road.

Rodgers is in such a zone he probably could fire accurate darts blindfold. Brady’s Revenge Tour at age 39 has him on the brink of an historic fifth Super Bowl championship. Matty Ice should be league MVP but needs to shed his 2-4 playoff monkey. And Big Ben still is tough to bring down and still clutch as he chases his third Super Bowl crown.

Choosing between Brady and Rodgers is like having to pick between a steak at Luger’s and sushi at Nobu. You can’t go wrong either way. But until proven otherwise, Brady is king of the kill.

Rodgers has the accuracy of Montana, the mobility of Brett Favre and arm strength of Dan Marino. Brady has the rings and is clutch with game on the line. Roethlisberger is simply a winner in big games. Ryan still has yet to prove that.
