The Eagles — and their fans — are riding pretty high.
Philadelphia took a 37-34 overtime win over the Bills on Sunday, snagging their NFL-best 10th win at Lincoln Financial Field.
One young Philly fan used the marquee matchup as an opportunity to get the best of an unsuspecting Buffalo fan.
Wearing a Jalen Hurts jersey, the youngster approached the Bills fan with the offer of a high-five, only to give him the bait-and-switch, leaving him with a middle finger salute.
The move led to laughter from the person filming the encounter.
The Bills fan seemed to take it in stride, giving a smile as he walked off.
There likely wasn’t as much smiling after the game, which ended on a 12-yard Hurts touchdown run to cap off a nine-play, 75-yard drive.
There was plenty of smack-talk on the field, as well.
Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham was caught on the official’s microphone after Buffalo won the overtime coin toss, brazenly telling Bills receiver Gabe Davis and safety Micah Hyde, “it doesn’t matter.”
Graham’s cockiness in the midst of the Eagles’ win was clearly palpable.
Buffalo defensive end Shaq Lawson appeared to shove an Eagles fan during a heated exchange with fans during the game.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (1) tosses the ball to fans after scoring a touchdown against the Buffalo Bills. USA TODAY Sports via Reuters ConBills tackle Jordan Phillips, also involved in the fan incident, addressed Lawson’s run-in on Monday with an Instagram post.
“I love the crowd I love rowdy fans it makes the game fun,” he wrote. “But one thing I’m not going to tolerate is someone threatening me or my family. This is a line that shouldn’t be crossed.”
