Alex Ovechkin is definitely having a better week than you.

After popping the question to model girlfriend Nastya Shubskaya over the past weekend, the Capitals winger capped off his birthday week with a unique gift: sheep.

“In Moscow, they give me a sheep,” Ovechkin clarified for reporters on Friday, who first thought he had been gifted a ship. “It’s in my country house right now. I have a picture.”

Ovechkin called in to a local Moscow TV station, where an anchor actually walked the sheep onto the set during the broadcast.

While the five-year captain may have to wait a little while longer to get acquainted with his cuddly new pals, in the meantime, he can focus on wedding planning and finding a way back to the playoffs after a dismal finish this spring.

The Russian native originally guaranteed a victory in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Rangers, but the Blueshirts prevailed 2-1, advancing to the conference finals of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
