No one had more fun watching the New York Islanders shut out the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night than Brendan Burke’s wife Mary.

Taking to Twitter, Mary filmed the Islanders play-by-play man watching the closing moments of the game from the comforts of home, pressing the MSG Networks star to say his famous call, “Game 1 to the Island” as the Islanders took a 4-0 win.

“Are you going to say it?” Mary is overheard in the clip. “Say it.”

“No,” Burke replied as Mary nudged him on.

Burke later responded to Mary’s tweet, “Can I go back to work now?”

Last week, Burke capped off his season with MSG, stating he’s, “Happy to watch the #Isles go further than me for a second straight year.”

The Islanders advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after eliminating the Washington Capitals, 4-1, in the series. The coverage of the NHL conference semifinals is exclusively broadcast on NBC Sports, which sidelines Burke.

Burke, who replaced play-by-play great Howie Rose in 2016, knew the experience would be strange beforehand.

“Listen, it will never not be weird to watch an #Isles game from my couch. But let’s hope this continues to be an annual occurrence,” Burke, who also calls games for NBC, tweeted.

Should Burke decide to exercise the vocal cords Wednesday afternoon for Game 2, Mary could be ready to press the record button.
