Martin Brodeur is ready to return, but the Devils may not be ready to call on him.
“Yes, he’s ready to play,” Devils coach Jacques Lemaire said after a Sunday practice, according to NJ.com.
But neither Brodeur nor Johan Hedberg, who is 6-0 since stepping in, appear to know who will start Tuesday night against the Stars.
“I don’t know. I know we’re playing Dallas Tuesday and the bus Monday is at 10. That’s all I know,” Brodeur told the website.
“I have no idea what the plans are,” Hedberg said.
Brodeur has been out since Feb. 6 with a MCL sprain suffered in a win over the Canadiens.
“I feel real good,” Brodeur said. “No issues with the knee. Good practices.”
