You don’t see a father-son moment like this very often.

Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk, who was playing in his hometown of Edmonton for the third time in his NHL career, was interviewed by a familiar face ahead of puck drop between the Bruins and Oilers Wednesday night.

DeBrusk’s father, Louie, a hockey analyst for Sportsnet in Canada who played six seasons for the Oilers, had the opportunity to interview his 23-year-old son at ice level during warmups.

It made for a light-hearted interview that both DeBrusks clearly had fun taking part in. Jake joked that he was getting sick of listening to his dad’s hunting stories while being home and Louie poked fun at rumors that Jake was making fun of his dad’s hair.

“Well listen, kiddo,” Louie told Jake. “Get the feet going. I don’t want to have to say bad things about you tonight. Hey, thanks a lot. Good luck, all right, kiddo?”

“Thanks, Dad,” Jake replied. “Love you.”
