Scott Clemmensen will get the nod in net tomorrow night when he returns to New Jersey to take on his former team.

Clemmensen, who has a robust 4.01 GAA for the Panthers, will start against the Devils and Martin Brodeur, who will be looking for shutout 104 — the most in the history of the NHL.

“[Being in New Jersey] is part of it, playing back-to-backs is part of it,” Panthers coach Pete DeBoer told the Miami Herald. “We’re in a tough part of the schedule and him playing his old team makes some sense, although ask me about that tomorrow night after the game and we’ll see.’’

Clemmensen played four and a half seasons as the Devils’ backup and shined last season with a 2.39 GAA in 40 games when Brodeur went down with a torn biceps.

Clemmensen backs up Tomas Vokoun in Florida, and has struggled in the eight games he started this season.
