Lou Lamoriello went outside the Devils to hire Brent Sutter as head coach, and yesterday Sutter stayed within the organization to pick his assistants.

Sutter named Larry Robinson, John MacLean, Tommy Albelin and Jacques Caron as assistants, with Robinson and MacLean slated to join Sutter on the bench.

“If we can keep it in the organization, if we have the right people in the organization, that’s what we should do,” Sutter said. “They know what the front of the jersey is all about.”
