The Rangers opened their playoff run tonight without captain Chris Drury on the ice.

Drury skated in warmups before Game 1 against the Capitals in Washington, but did not dress for the game.

Drury is out with an undisclosed injury. It is believed to be either a knee or a wrist injury.

He missed the regular-season finale in Philadelphia on Sunday.

It is not clear when he will be healthy enough to return to action.
