The Islanders yesterday re-signed defenseman Chris Campoli to a three-year, $1.9 million contract.

Campoli, 23, stands 10-38-48 in 131 games in his first two seasons with the Isles, 1-13-14 in 51 games last year after coming back from a groin injury.

Campoli’s 9-25-34 2005-06 stats made him only the fifth-ever Islander rookie defenseman to top 30 points, when he led all Isles rookies and finished sixth among the league’s rookie defensemen.

A seventh-round pick in the 2004 draft, Campoli will earn $600,000, $625,000 and $675,000 over the coming three seasons.
