ATLANTA – Trent Hunter scored off a faceoff in overtime and the Islanders recovered after blowing a three-goal lead to beat the slumping Thrashers 5-4 last night.

Josef Vasicek gained control of the puck following the faceoff and passed to Hunter, who scored from the slot at 3:51 to give the Thrashers their fifth straight loss.

Atlanta’s Bobby Holik scored with 1:22 left in regulation to force the overtime. Mike Comrie scored twice and Andy Hilbert also found the net for the Islanders.
