SUNRISE, FL – The Panthers will return Jose Theodore to net tonight when they try again to push the Devils to the brink of elimination.

Righty-catcher Theodore started the first three games of this first round series, tied 2-2, gaining a split of the opening pair. He was scorched for three in the first 6:16 of Game 3 in Newark, and was replaced by Scott Clemmensen as the Panthers came back for a 4-3 triumph.

Clemmensen started Game 4 Thursday in Newark but the Panthers couldn’t beat Martin Brodeur, who recorded his 24th career playoff shutout in the 4-0 victory.

Theodore, 35, is 8-14-3 with one shutout in the regular season against the Devils, besides his 1-1 record in this series. He is 20-29 in playoffs.
