Vitali Kravtsov is headed back to Russia.

The Rangers are loaning the No. 9-overall pick from 2018 back to the KHL for the 2020-21 season, The Post’s Larry Brooks reported Friday. The winger, who can be recalled by the Rangers once their season starts and could be at the team’s training camp whenever it begins, will play for Traktor Chelyabinsk and head coach Anvar Gatiyatulin, whom he had played under during his draft year. The decision was a collaborative effort with Kravtsov’s agent.

Because of the pandemic delaying the NHL’s postseason, its 2020-21 season is not expected to begin with training camp until Nov. 17 while the KHL’s season is set to begin in September.

Kravtsov spent this season with AHL Hartford while adjusting to the North American game, recording six goals and nine assists in 39 games. The Rangers got a closer look at the 20-year-old when he joined the team for its summer camp and was included on its expanded roster that went to Toronto for the postseason bubble. He has yet to make his NHL debut.

Kravtsov was the KHL’s rookie of the year in 2017-18.
