The Canadiens may want to rethink this giveaway strategy.

As defenseman P.K. Subban tossed pucks into the crowd during an open practice Sunday at the Bell Centre, one of the souvenirs accidentally hit a 1-month-old infant after an older fan lost his grip on the prize. Taken to Montreal Children’s Hospital and diagnosed with a concussion, the Habs’ youngest (and toughest) admirer is set to make a full recovery.

The organization reportedly supplied the family with tickets in a private suite to Monday’s game against the Predators after several players visited the baby at the hospital.

“Members of the organization went to meet the family Monday morning. The players feel quite involved in an event like this. Whenever possible, they always try to be cautious when launching a puck into the stands,” the Canadiens’ vice president of communications, Donald Beauchamp, said via TVA Nouvelles.

Last September, Montreal Children’s Hospital disclosed that Subban planned to donate $10 million over a seven-year period.
