The Rangers are down another center.
After Ryan Strome did not start in the Rangers’ 4-1 loss to the Lightning, Filip Chytil left the match with an upper-body injury during the second period, with the team announcing he would not return.
If Chytil misses any extended period, it would be a major blow to the Rangers. Chytil’s play has been a revelation this postseason, scoring seven goals in 17 games — just one fewer than he scored in 67 regular season games.
