Rangers forward Ryan Callahan either suffered or aggravated an upper-body injury during the morning skate but dressed for tonight’s game against the Capitals in Washington.
The Rangers, who were carrying the minimum 12 healthy forwards with Sean Avery still rehabbing his right knee, recalled 19-year-old Evgeny Grachev from the AHL Wolf Pack to stand by in case Callahan could not go.
Henrik Lundqvist, in nets for the fourth straight game, is slated to get the start at home on Sunday against the Ducks before Steve Valiquette makes his debut the following night at the Garden against the Maple Leafs.
