The Rangers’ thrilling Game 6 series-clinching win over the Hurricanes in Game 6 came on the road, but that didn’t mean Madison Square Garden was silent Thursday night.

The Garden had a full house in attendance watching the Rangers’ 5-3 win, and the fans even threw hats on the empty ice after Chris Kreider’s natural hat trick propelled them to the Eastern Conference Final.

The jubilant Rangers fans took the party outside MSG after the big win as fans were yelling, “We want Boston!” interspersed with “Let’s Go Rangers” chants.

Those Rangers fans may not get their wish.

Florida holds a 3-2 series lead with Game 6 on Friday night in Boston, with the winner set to face the Blueshirts.

Kreider, in fact, pounded the glass in front of a section of jersey-clad Rangers fans after his game-winning goal in the third period.

With a little serendipity — plus Game 6 and 7 wins by the Bruins and one more victory by the Knicks — both the NHL and NBA could be staring down an all-Boston-and-New York conference finals.

Until it’s all sorted out, Rangers fans can plan for at least two more games at the Garden as the franchise looks to break a championship drought that dates back to their 1994 Stanley Cup win.
