Now that the Rangers have their coach, the roster work can begin.

The Blueshirts agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with pending restricted free agent forward Juuso Pärssinen on Friday, the team announced.

The deal is expected to carry an average annual value of $1.25 million, per The Post’s Larry Brooks.

Pärssinen bounced in and out of the lineup over the final 23 games of the Rangers season, serving as a healthy scratch on 12 occasions after coming to New York — along with defenseman Calvin de Haan and two conditional 2025 draft picks — in a March 1 trade with the Avalanche that sent Ryan Lindgren, Jimmy Vesey and prospect Hank Kempf to Colorado.

“It was a long time, like five or six weeks for me,” the 24-year-old said during the Rangers’ break-up day. “I want to play more, for sure. But, if you take that away, I think my experience was really good. I think the organization is really good, we’re taken care of. Great practice facility and the city, it’s unbelievable. I had a good time, for sure.”

At the conclusion of this new contract, Pärssinen will be a restricted free agent with arbitration rights.

Entering the offseason after getting traded twice in 2024-25, the first time going from Nashville to Colorado in December, Pärssinen said he plans to focus on his skating, getting more explosive and improving his strides.

The Finn posted six goals and 10 assists through 48 total games this season.

Over his 11 appearances with the Rangers, Pärssinen recorded two goals and three assists.

“Not ideal, of course,” he said of getting traded twice. “First time for me, getting to feel and see the business side of things. It’s been tough in a way. But, at the same time, I’m in a great spot now. I’m really happy about that. I hope I can stay here.”

Rangers president and general manager Chris Drury has seven RFA’s left on the roster in Adam Edstrom, Will Cuylle, Arthur Kaliyev, Matt Rempe, K’Andre Miller, Zac Jones and Matthew Robertson.
