The Rangers stuck around and got a point on Thursday against the powerful Bruins, but could not prevail in overtime. It’s been a rocky ride for the 4-5-3 Blueshirts, who have now lost two straight. Help is on the way though, at least at The Garden. Fans will be in the building a few weeks cheering on the Rangers. To talk about everything going in Rangers land, we bring you a new episode of the “Up In The Blue Seats” podcast with Ron Duguay and Mollie Walker, featuring chats with Larry Brooks and Chris Kotsopoulos.
Up In The Blue Seats Podcast with Ron and Mollie:
- Rangers lose in OT to the Bruins. Rangers badly missing Filip Chytil. Overall the team looks pretty good. You can be optimistic about direction they are going in.
- Mika Zibanejad is not doing enough. He needs to step up. He hasn’t had a goal in almost a month. He’s the top-line center, needs to score more. It’s hurting the team. Artemi Panarin has also not been playing great. Needs to shoot more.
- Chris Kreider should be contributing more, but he’s brought leadership. He’s taken on responsibility with the “A” on his chest. Ron would like to see Kreider play a little bit more angry.
- Rangers fans will be back at MSG on Feb. 26. Players are excited to have fans back in the arena. It has not felt the same in empty arena. They have had a very organized operation going on for media to get in.
