NJ.com reports that Devils center Brian Rolston would like to see Jacques Lemaire return to coach the Devils.

Lemaire, who coached Rolston as a young player in New Jersey then later in Minnesota, reportedly has said he may have an interest in returning to the Devils.

Rolston says: “I would enjoy it, that’s for sure. I have tremendous respect for him. He’s the best coach I’ve ever had, no question about that. He’d be great for our young players.”

Lemaire said he plans to decide his future before the NHL Draft, June 26.

Rolston also said he is glad Brent Sutter is no longer Devils coach.

“The fact of the matter with me is I didn’t get a fair shake last year at all as far as I’m concerned,” Rolston told writer Rich Chere. “Anybody who comes in will be a welcome change for me.”
