ESPN.com reports the Ottawa Senators are trying to accomodate Dany Heatley’s request for a trade.

“I have had some conversations with several teams,” GM Brian Murray told reporters, according to the Web site. “I don’t really have a timetable but I have encouraged anybody that is really interested to try to make the contact before the draft and we will get something done by that time I hope.”

Heatley had 39 goals and 33 assists last season. He has twice scored 50 goals in a season. The Ottawa Citizen reportsthe Blackhawks and Oilers are top candidates to land the winger, with the Sharks and Canucks possibilities.
