Marty Turco posted his second consecutive shutout to help his Stars force a decisive seventh game in their series against the Canucks. Dallas has, and may I disclaim right now by saying “I believe”, never had a game seven victory. In the 2000 final against the Devils, that series went to a seventh game and ended with New Jersey hoisting the Cup.

Everything rides on the next meeting between Vancouver and Dallas. If the Stars can manage to make club history, they will certainly have earned their second round appearance with a superb comeback effort.

Dallas took the win on the strength of goals from Mike Modano and Jeff Halpern, while Marty Turco stopped 21 shots.
