Well, this sure beats finding a ring inside your dessert. One lucky guy got to say “I do” in the middle of a hockey game — and instead of choking on a bauble inside a slice of chocolate cake, he got to eat a bouquet of Doritos.

On Thursday, Vancouver Canucks fan Brandon was selected to play a halftime game called the “Canucks Puck Shuffle” for a mystery prize, which ended up being a marriage proposal. As the puck Brandon chose was lifted, the words “Will you marry me?” appeared on the jumbotron screen. The audience screamed as Brandon’s girlfriend emerged — sporting a Canucks jersey, just like her groom-to-be — and got down on one knee to pop the question. In her arms: a bundle of roses, made out of Doritos. How romantic!

The Vancouver Canucks posted a video of the moment on Twitter Thursday night. Fortunately, Brandon said yes, despite the fact that the Doritos were ketchup-flavored (were they out of normal flavors)? Oh well, no proposal is perfect, but this one was pretty cute.
