Chris Drury was a busy man on Monday. The Rangers GM was wheeling and dealing, trying to improve a Rangers team that badly needed a few pieces to bolster their chances come playoff time. Drury did just that. While he didn’t go get superstars, he got pieces to boost the roster.

To talk about the moves the Rangers made, we bring you a new episode of the “Up In The Blue Seats” podcast with Ron Duguay and Mollie Walker. The Post’s Larry Brooks joined us in his weekly spot and we have an always joyful conversation with the legendary voice of the Blueshirts on MSG Network, Sam Rosen.

Up In The Blue Seats Podcast with Ron, Mollie & Jake:

  • MAKING MOVES: Rangers did not give up a ton to improve, acquiring Andrew Copp, Tyler Motte, Justin Braun and Frank Vatrano. Fortified the bottom six with these moves. Some current Rangers have pre-existing relationships with some of the players they traded for.
  • GRADES: Mollie gives the Rangers an A- for their trade deadline haul. She loves what they did. Ron likes what they did, but hoped they got a top-six player. Rangers kept their current dynamic in tact.

Sam Rosen Interview: MSG Network Rangers play-by-play broadcaster

  • DEALS: Give the Rangers an A- for their moves. They did not break the current core to improve. It will take some time for them to gel.
  • LAFRENIERE: His progress has been a bit slow, but he has taken a step forward this season.
  • STANLEY CUP: Does not see it happening this season, but it does not seem too far in the distant future.

Larry Brooks Interview: The Post’s Hall of Fame hockey columnist

  • BLUE CHIPS: They did not give up any blue chips. Give them a B+.
  • DRAFT: Trades need to work because they gutted next year’s draft.
  • LINEUP: Rangers will be experimenting with different lines the next few weeks.
