Raymond Keating’s op-ed was a transparently partisan, pre-election-day shot (“Our Jobs-Killing Pols,” PostOpinion, Oct. 13).

Those more concerned about small businesses than politics would note that I supported several bills that help small businesses by reducing their taxes and improving their access to credit.

Despite Republican obstruction, I supported the Small Business Jobs Act that provides eight tax cuts for small businesses to spur growth and harnesses up to $300 billion in private-sector lending for small businesses.

I also supported legislation that frees up credit for small businesses by expanding access to SBA loans.

Small-business owners are working hard to grow their businesses and take care of their employees.
