ASK THE HAT
I’m confused: J.K. Rowling gave Steve Vander Ark’s Web site “The Harry Potter Lexicon” an award in 2004 (“Sob Story: ‘Just Sharing’ Potter Magic,” April 16).
Now she says that the site is a “sloppy” and “lazy” rearrangement of her words that offers little analysis or commentary, while misinterpreting the meanings and origins of some character names and spells.
C’mon, Rowling, which is it?
A site worthy of an award or one you now hold in contempt because its owner wishes to turn it into hard copy?
