Christie Whitman lied to Americans about the air quality around Ground Zero, and now a judge has ruled that we can’t hold her responsible (“Christie Can Breathe Free,” April 23). This ruling will allow future appointees to lie again and let first-responders and citizens get sick. If Whitman were held accountable, then our future leaders would think twice before lying to the American public.
