Bad grading
Unfortunately, the standard patient satisfaction survey The Post relied on for its May 31 article, “ ‘Readmission’ of Failure at City Hosps,” does not reflect the unique cultural and linguistic make-up of our patient population, an issue we have discussed several times with the federal government.
A more valid indication of how our patients feel about Downtown Hospital is the large number of people who travel here from every part of the city, and well beyond, to obtain quality medical care.
Jeffrey Menkes, president and CEO, New York Downtown Hospital, Manhattan
