Anyone wishing for the sleazy, dirty and dangerous pre-Giuliani days of New York clearly has never been raped, shot, slashed or had a loved one murdered for their sneakers (“Tunnel That Shows There’s Nothing To Miss About Old New York,” PostScript, Steve Cuozzo, Nov. 28).

Before making any idiotic statements about longing for the days when window bars ruled, please interview such victims to understand the horror that prevailed.
