I read Arthur Herman’s article, “Devil’s Bargain” (Post Opinion, Dec. 30) with interest. I can’t help but wonder if Barack Obama‘s campaign rhetoric is coming back to haunt him, even before he takes office. Hamas’ deliberate provocation of the Israeli attack is just the beginning of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad testing Obama’s ability. Obama’s naivete on the world geopolitical scene is almost as shocking as the “selective” global outrage of this latest round of Middle East violence.
