The release of king gasbag Keith Olbermann by MSNBC just goes to show that only a small percentage of people in this country support, not to mention actually watch, extreme liberal media (“Olbermann Wanted Out a Year Ago,” Jan. 23).
Now that Olbermann has turned America off with his arrogant, elitist attitude, I’m sure he can get a job flying people over the Grand Canyon, since he has a limitless supply of hot air.

Another bastion of liberalism has bit the dust.
Could this indicate the impending death of liberalism in America?

Olberman said his loyal fans had enabled him to keep going.
Having so few of them did keep him going . . . right out the door.

Good riddance to Olbermann. His mean-spirited rants against anyone who thought differently was the epitome of gutter journalism.
His guest list included only people who agreed with him, which showed him to be nothing more than a coward incapable of engaging in any type of debate.
The “firing” of this smug, pompous jerk shows that even the politburo at MSNBC had tired of his antics.

MSNBC and Olbermann part ways, possibly due to the merger of NBC Universal and Comcast.
Meanwhile, over at FOX News, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin and the rest continue their spin on the news. There is no justice in the world.
Live long and prosper, Keith.

If TV ratings are high, why rock the boat? Denigrating Democrats or Republicans is of no concern to MSNBC, provided the money keeps rolling in.
Republicans now rule the House of Representatives, indicating that an increased number of voters have shifted to the right. Couple that with the Comcast takeover, and MSNBC’s ratings could drop.
Nothing is more important than maintaining high ratings — character assassination comes in a distant second. Olbermann had to go.
