Democratic norms alert!
The Associated Press and others have called the hotly contested Pennsylvania Senate race for GOP candidate David McCormick, since the outstanding votes give no hope for Sen. Bob Casey to close the gap — but Casey won’t concede as Democratic operatives try to overturn the will of the voters.
Casey is even fundraising off his hopeless efforts to stay in power.

And, like a rat jumping onto a sinking ship, perennial election villain and Dem superlawyer Marc Elias has entered the fray.
Elias — the man behind cooking up the utterly bogus Steele dossier, and thus the whole two years of toxic Russiagate nonsense — is angling to force Pennsylvania into a recount.
McCormick has a big enough margin of victory to keep an automatic recount from being triggered (which happens in the Keystone State when the margin falls below .5%).
Casey has no real mathematical path to a fair victory — hence the involvement of Elias, whose specialties include finding lefty judges to invalidate GOP votes or validate new and sketchy Democratic ones.
And a “save democracy by destroying it” party wouldn’t be complete without lame-duck Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

This is all the more outrageous because of the totally convincing victory Trump won.
Every swing state and the popular vote.
The GOP made legislative gains, retaking control of the Senate. Republicans are projected to keep the House.
In other words, the election is over.
What Casey, Schumer and Elias are doing is, in fact, dangerous to democracy.
It muddies up a clear result and sows distrust in elections. It tells the voters their voices don’t matter.

The voters made their will plain.
They want Trump.
They want a secure border, a healthier economy and a stronger America abroad.
Period.
This anti-democracy ploy is the definitive proof that the Republic’s real enemies come from the party that shrieks the loudest about its downfall.
