Any secretary of state should help solve international problems instead of creating them (“Betraying Freedom in Latin America,” Ralph Peters, PostOpinion, March 3).

As Ralph Peters points out, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton should not be embracing Argentina’s president, who is allied with Hugo Chavez.

By doing so, she managed to insult our friends, the British, while pandering to people who do not like us.

Where is Lawrence Eagleburger when we need him?
