What is wrong with people? Do the owners of “Tubby Tabby” not realize that they are putting their animal at risk of death by allowing it to be that overweight (“Pussy Galore,” July 30)? This is not amusing. You shouldn’t have an animal if you are going to treat it like this. It is animal abuse, plain and simple. You are not doing these cats any favors by feeding them constantly. Why not get off your own butt and play with them? You both probably could do with some exercise. Those pictures, though adorable, are just sickening.
