The Issue: Bill Clinton’s endorsement of President Obama and their once-strained relations.

***

I agree that Bill Clinton’s speech endorsing President Obama was electrifying (“Bubba Is Back,” Dale McFeatters, Sept. 7).

But who will be president if we follow his advice — Clinton or Obama?

And if Obama is so enamored of Clinton’s policies, why are Obama’s so vastly different and not centrist at all?

It was so heart-warming to see Obama and Clinton hugging and patting each other on the back.

I’m willing to bet that both of them couldn’t wait to jump in the shower to get each other’s scent off themselves.

And all for a vote.

No decent person would put on a display like that if they’d been bad-mouthed by the other.

If you missed the hug-and-kiss event, wait until Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad comes to the US. I’m sure Obama will give voters a repeat performance.Skip McGrory
