Thank you for the article regarding the return of the remains of Navy pilot Michael “Scott” Speicher (“A Hero Repatriated,” Editorial, Aug. 4).

As a former Navy Air Traffic Controller, I met Speicher while he was an instructor pilot.

He epitomized what a hero was, and I am relieved to hear that he will finally be laid to rest at home.

I can now put away my POW/MIA bracelet that I have had for him for years. Rest in peace, Spike.
