THE ISSUE: Whether a President Obama would fill the Supreme Court with liberal judges.

Barack Obama‘s almost certain election and his views on the role of the courts as guarantor of the equi- table distribution of wealth don’t bode well for the future (“Barack’s Supreme Goal,” Editorial, Oct. 28).

Liberty and justice are hollow terms if property is not protected.

Obama, over eight years with a filibuster-proof Congress, would appoint many activist judges bent on dramatically redefining the word “equality.”

It is absolutely amazing how much power you’ve given Obama.

We’re electing a president, not a dictator, and there is such a thing as the Senate and Congress, not to mention the Constitution.

And how about the American people?

Although evidence of Obama’s undisguised socialist leanings and choice of questionable relationships with anti-American associates hasn’t slowed down his dramatic run for the Oval Office, maybe his diatribe about loading our courts with ultra-liberal social activists will finally wake people up.

According to Obama, putting like-minded liberal judges on the bench will preclude the necessity for judicial review and interpretation of the Constitution.

If this latest revelation of his thinking doesn’t finally give the voters pause, what will?
