The city is going to the expense of installing clocks at its intersections to track the behavior of pedestrians (“Pedestrians ‘Ticked’ Off,” Nov. 1).

Why? Nobody looks as they cross the street, and they jaywalk all the time anyway, so this is a big waste.

Spend the money where it is really needed.
