The Issue: Billy Crystal’s comments about Kodak, which recently filed for bankruptcy, during the Oscars.
***
Kudos to Kyle Smith for taking Billy Crystal to task for his cheap shots at Kodak during Sunday’s Oscars show (“H’Wood’s Ugly Kodak Moment,” PostOpinion, Feb. 28).
My immediate reaction when I heard Crystal’s opening act and his reference to the “Chapter 11 Theater” was shock, and then I was disgusted.
My heart goes out to the Kodak company, an American icon, and to the people of Rochester.
I can only say, “Consider the source.”

Smith’s article hits the nail on the head.
As a former Kodak employee of 31 years in the New York City region, I can attest to the positive impact of Kodak’s contribution to a vast number of industries over the years.
It is unfortunate that Crystal lowered himself to impress the Hollywood mob.
