It’s about time Detroit got a good plug (“They Serve Pizza in Hell and Other Fun Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Detroit,” June 16).

As a volunteer for the Super Bowl and Final Four, I experienced so many visitors who were really impressed with Detroit and had a great time. It is a great place, but few want to admit it. Yes, we have our problems, but what city doesn’t? Like former Detroit promoter Emily Gail said, “Say nice things about Detroit.” I have, always will, and more people need to as well.
