DON’T PAY THE KIDS
Children who would not normally pass AP exams suddenly have the ability to do so (“HS Students Cash in on Challenging Tests,” Aug. 5).
If these children passed because of the promise of money, what incentive does it give them to learn how to study and pass without a financial reward?
I am reminded of Pavlov’s dogs — dangle money in front of these students, and they miraculously have what it takes to pass and receive up to $1,000.
I find it disgusting, and the children and their parents greedy.
