Michael Goodwin states that the joke was on New Yorkers for taking Carl Paladino seriously (“Earn Your ‘Reformer’ Label, Andy,” Oct. 13). He also states, and rightfully so, that Paladino’s antics have been the topic of discussion for more than half the campaign season.

Am I the only one who is getting the impression, as no one can commit political suicide like Paladino has, that he is actually a Democratic operative?
