I can’t believe that I have lived long enough to hear a woman state that American feminism has been a disaster (“Stifled by Feminism,” Suzanne Venker, PostOpinion, Oct. 30).

The women’s-liberation movement started out as a quest for equality and has wound up as a fight for revenge. The “feminization of America” has rotted the psyches of both men and women.

Women wanted to be treated the same as men, and when they were, men were castrated for not giving them special treatment.

Women are unhappy these days because no self-respecting man wants to be bossed around by some emasculating shrew.
