I agree that money that is not there should not be spent (“Tisch Passes a Test,” Editorial, Oct. 16).

How about some creativity in solving the problem?

Students who are strong in math and English should be offered extra credit to tutor the students that need the help.

While Meryl Tisch may have passed the test, she failed the students.
