Who would show up for a craps game when you know the dice are loaded against you? Not me, and this is exactly what columnist Peter Suderman is making clear to Republicans (“It’s a Trap!” PostScript, Feb. 21).

There was nothing for the elephants to gain by showing up for the health-care summit, and so much for the donkeys to bray about.

It’s obvious that President Obama only went to the Republicans because he’s drowning in his self-made mess.
