Get well, Mr. President
Here’s hoping Bill Clinton is back on his feet in short order.
The former president, now UN special envoy to Haiti, was hospitalized yesterday with chest pains.
According to a Clinton spokesman, surgeons at New York’s Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital inserted stents to open one of his coronary arteries.
Clinton underwent quadruple-bypass heart surgery in 2004, so any further complications are certainly grounds for real concern.
It would also come as no surprise if his role in the Haiti earthquake-relief effort has taken a toll on his health.
Thus, it was good to hear last night that Clinton is “in good spirits.”
Get well soon, Mr. President.
You have work to do.
