Your Sunday Pets Page promoted the buying and breeding of pets — even as thousands of adoptable pets of all breeds and ages are killed every year in New York’s shelter system (“Bow Wow,” Aug. 7). Far too many animals end up homeless or on the shelters’ death row, just for lack of enough adoptive homes.
