What the federal agents did to the innocent geese in Prospect Park is nothing less than criminal (“Park Lovers Furious Over Goose Slaughter,” July 13).

We can’t plug an oil leak for almost three months, killing numerous wildlife as a result, and we don’t know how to protect a jet engine from flying objects. Yet we do know how to gas hundreds of geese.

Carol Bannerman, of the US Agriculture Department, should be ashamed of herself, as should the entire agency for this inhumane, disgusting act.
