HE WAS STILL OUT
In your editorial on Johnny Podres, you mention that Sandy Amoros reached into the stands and robbed Yogi Berra of a home run in Game Seven of the 1955 World Series (“Johnny Podres, 1932-2008,” Jan. 15).
What actually happened was that Berra hit a line drive down the left-field line that Amoros reached out for and grabbed, robbing Berra of a double, not a home run.
